On Saturday, May 3, Spartanburg Methodist College (SMC) held its annual Commencement ceremony, recognizing graduates from the fall of 2024 and spring of 2025, at Spartanburg High School. Senior Victoria Farr, of Boiling Springs, SC, was selected as the student speaker and shared her story of perseverance in encouraging her classmates to go out and achieve great things.

On Saturday, May 4, Spartanburg Methodist College (SMC) celebrated graduates from the fall of 2023 and spring of 2024 during its 2024 commencement ceremony held at Spartanburg High School. U.S. Army Major Jeremy Boeh served as the commencement speaker and Hali Gardner, of Boiling Springs, SC, was selected as the student speaker.

On Saturday, May 13, Spartanburg Methodist College (SMC) celebrated the graduation of the class of 2023. The commencement ceremony was held at Spartanburg High School. Dr. Russell Booker, CEO of the Spartanburg Academic Movement, served as the commencement speaker. Joshua Golden, of Columbia, SC, was selected as the student speaker.

On May 7, 2022, Spartanburg Methodist College (SMC) celebrated the graduation of the 2022 class. The ceremony was held at Spartanburg High School.

The College of Charleston recently awarded undergraduate and graduate degrees during Spring 2021 Commencement ceremonies.

On May 8, 2021 Spartanburg Methodist College (SMC) celebrated the graduation of the 2021 class. The ceremony was held at Spartanburg High School's football stadium. Included in the graduating class was the first ever bachelor's degree graduates from SMC.

For the fall 2020 semester, the University of North Georgia awarded more than 1,000 degrees and certificates to graduates. Nearly 600 of those graduates walked across the stage of the Convocation Center Dec. 5-6 in 52 mini-ceremonies created to follow social distancing guidelines and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Coastal Carolina University saw nearly 1,300 students graduate in Spring 2020 during a virtual ceremony that included a speech from alumnus and Emmy-nominated actor Michael Kelly.

The seniors of the Class of 2021 were celebrated with a traditional Ring Presentation Ceremony at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, in McAlister Field House, attended by the South Carolina Corps of Cadets, Veteran and Active Duty students. Attendance at the ceremony was restricted to only ring-eligible seniors due to the need for social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but the event included the same rich traditions that recipients anticipated for this important milestone.

Spartanburg Methodist College celebrates the class of 2020! Graduates were mailed their diplomas. We hope to have an official ceremony later this summer if we are able to hold one safely, but due to the uncertainly surrounding COVID-19, we have not confirmed an official date. As soon as we have a plan for Commencement, we will email graduates.

Coastal Carolina University graduates are exactly what the world needs, according to commencement speaker and doctoral candidate Leigha Peterson. Peterson addressed the graduating class of 2019 - more than 1,200 students - during three separate commencement ceremonies at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center May 10-11. "Whatever you are, put it out there," she said, "because it is better than good enough. It is exactly what the world needs!"
