Vice President for Academic Affairs Joe Donofrio, D.C., A.C.P., is pleased to announce the students included on Sherman College's Dean's List for grades earned during the summer 2020 academic quarter. Dean's List students have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the quarter.

The seniors of the Class of 2021 were celebrated with a traditional Ring Presentation Ceremony at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, in McAlister Field House, attended by the South Carolina Corps of Cadets, Veteran and Active Duty students. Attendance at the ceremony was restricted to only ring-eligible seniors due to the need for social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but the event included the same rich traditions that recipients anticipated for this important milestone.

Gold stars were awarded to cadets and students at The Citadel who achieved a 3.7 grade point average or higher in the fall 2019 semester. Cadets and students who achieve gold star recognition are also placed on The Citadel's dean's list.

The dean's list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (Incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.

Several students were named to the Bob Jones University Bruins women's cross country team roster for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The Achievement Award in Service is given annually to graduating sophomores who have made significant contributions to the SMC community in the area of service. The recipients are given the award at the Awards Ceremony, which was held April 11 at Gibbs Auditorium.
